Okay, how crazy is this. Every year for Christmas my husband and I get Philips Sonicare brush heads in our stockings! It’s true – I wouldn’t make this stuff up!
My mom started the tradition a few years ago because she knew it was important for us to change our brush heads on our SonicCare toothbrushes every year. Even though you might not see your toothbrush head getting worn down, over time the plastic bristles in the sonicare brush head do deteriorate over time. Also, plaque and bacteria can accumulate at the base of the brush head which make it less appealing to put in your mouth.
The good news is that the sonicare toothbrushes themselves last a lot longer than just the brush heads. Your rechargable base will last for many years, making it a great investment in your oral hygiene.
Get A Replacement Sonicare Brush Head
Whether you and your spouse share the Sonicare toothbrush base, or you each have your own toothbrush handle and Sonicare head, it’s a good idea to remember to rotate and clean your toothbrush and brush heads often for best results and safety.
In our family, we get the replacement sonicare toothbrush heads in 2-packs, but you can also get bigger replacement packs. You usually save more if you buy in bulk.
I found out that you can get them at a discount if you buy them online, rather than through your dentist or at the store. I think I’ll have to mention that to my Mom – I mean Santa! – the next time Christmas rolls around.
Until then, I’m going to keep brushing, and I know I’ll be all set with clean healthy teeth thanks to my daily flossing and brushing with my Philips Sonic Care toothbrush.
